This upcoming Thursday on January 19th , the Edmond Composite Squadron will host an open house at the National Guard Armory on Bryant, just south of 2nd St. The open house will take place between 7 - 9 PM. Members of the Squadron need to show up before 6:30 PM. The uniform for members will be BDU's or a white T' shirt and jeans. This open house is open to people of all ages. Invite anyone that you think would be interested in joining this great volunteer program! Hope to see you there!

Hello Black Knights!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break, but now it is time to come back to regular CAP meetings before a 3 week Christmas break. As you might know, our next meeting, Dec. 1st, is the day that in 1941 the Civil Air Patrol was first established. As an assignment for CAP's birthday, I would like everyone in flight to find a simple/random fact about CAP and its history. This Thursday during the meeting some one will ask the flight about a few interesting CAP facts that you might have found. I hope to see everyone there, and thanks for checking the website! This week's meeting was a leadership night. After the cadets had fallen in and had inspection, they formed up in the classroom to await the weekly briefing. The briefing began with the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence for Captain Jeff Zoellick, who passed away on the 27th of October, and was a former Squadron Commander of the Edmond Composite Squadron. Attention all:
The squadron will be hosting its annual Christmas Party for the cadets and seniors on Thursday, December 15th! It will be pot-luck style, so keep an eye out for more information and a sign up list for sides and drinks.
